The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have responded to a call out at Wootton Primary School this afternoon (Tuesday).
2 appliances from Ryde and Newport, the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were all mobilised to the school on Church Road at around 12:55.
However, it’s appears that the call out is just a false alarm.
Crews are now standing down and children are being allowed back into the building having evacuated earlier on.
The school day is continuing as normal.
