The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have worked with colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service to extricate a casualty from a car in Carisbrooke tonight (Saturday).
2 appliances from Newport were called to the driveway of a property on Castle Hill at 21:50.
Fire officials have refused to comment on the circumstances of the road traffic collision, which has seen chocks placed underneath the vehicle and a spinal board extrication of a rear seat passenger.
Island Echo understands the casualty to be female. She has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital by land ambulance.
