The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have this evening (Monday) been called back to Sandown, where there was a double hotel fire yesterday.
At least 5 fire appliances have been re-mobilised to Culver Parade alongside an Aerial Ladder Platform.
Crews were called back to the remains of The Tarvic2 and St Moritz at around 18:00.
It appears that the fire from yesterday has flared up again – a common occurance with such large fires.
At the height of the initial blaze around 50 firefighters from the Island and Hampshire dealt with the fire.
UPDATE @ 18:35 – Hampshire Constabulary are on scene and have re-closed the road having only re-opened it a few hours ago following fire investigations.
Traffic is starting to build in the area.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service Incident Command Unit from Newport is now also on scene.
UPDATE @ 19:10 – Ryde Fire Station has taken to Twitter to confirm that Ryde, Sandown and Shanklin have returned to the scene of yesterday’s fire, as smoke was seen coming from the remains.

The extent of the damage can now be seen.
