UPDATED: 2 fire appliances and an aerial ladder platform are attending a fire at the derelict Harcourt Sands Holiday Park in Ryde tonight (Thursday).
Tonight’s incident centres around one of the largest buildings on site – the restaurant.
There is no obvious signs of fire but crews are using the aerial platform to inspect the roof of the empty building.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at Puckpool at around 21:45, with all 3 crews mobilised from Ryde Fire Station.
UPDATE @ 23:35 – Firefighters are now standing down from the incident and are returning to station.
1 appliance remains on scene at this time but is also expected to return to station shortly.
