Motorists are being warned that access to Ryde Pier will be prevented from 20:00 tonight (Friday) until 05:00 tomorrow morning to allow for resurfacing works on the Esplanade.
As part of the ongoing Ryde Pier Interchange project, the pier will be closed to vehicles and motorcycles overnight tonight and again on Monday and Tuesday of next week. This is to allow Island Roads to complete resurfacing works on the access road.
Vehicles and motorcycles parked on Ryde Pier Head during these dates will still be able to exit the pier throughout the works.
Foot passengers will be able to get to and from Wightlink’s FastCat terminal as usual and cyclists can access the Pier if they push their bikes through the pedestrian gate.
The closure will start at 20:00 each day and finish at 05:00 the following morning.
