Essential repairs and maintenance at Wightlink’s Portsmouth Gunwharf car ferry terminal over the next 3 weeks will see some sailings arrive and depart from the International Port.
Whilst work is carried out, there will be some changes to vehicle parking arrangements and a temporary full closure of the terminal.
It’s said that the works are being carried out to ensure facilities remain in top condition, providing the best possible service to passengers.
Between now and 20th January, scaffolding is being erected on the Upper Deck and ramp with vehicles leaving the terminal being directed an alternative way.
From Monday 27th January until Sunday 2nd February, all sailings will operate from Portsmouth International Port. This will make crossings slightly longer than usual and foot passengers will be unable to travel on this route.
A revised timetable will be in operation, the full details of which can be found at https://www.wightlink.co.uk/plan-your-journey/service-status.
Between Monday 3rd and Thursday 6th February, scaffolding will be removed and the terminal returned to normal.
All affected customers have been contacted and accommodated with alternate sailing times.
