Isle of Wight beauty queen Emily Radford is preparing to take on a daring wing walk in support of Mountbatten Isle of Wight, with the challenge scheduled for Tuesday (13th August).
Emily, who was crowned International Junior Miss United Kingdom earlier this year, is undertaking the high-flying fundraiser as part of her ongoing efforts to raise funds and awareness for local charities. She has chosen Mountbatten Isle of Wight due to the vital care and support it provides to families across the Island.
The 20-year-old has set up an online fundraising page and is encouraging Islanders to show their support by making donations in the run-up to the big day. Donations for Emily’s latest fundraiser can be made via https://theearlmountbattenhospice.enthuse.com/pf/emily-radford.
Emily has said:
“I’ve been lucky enough to represent the Isle of Wight nationally, and now I want to give something back to the community that has supported me.
“This wing walk is about challenging myself while raising money for a cause that helps so many local people during their most difficult times.”
The charity wing walk will see Emily take to the skies strapped to the top of a plane, soaring at altitude while exposed to the elements – a true test of courage in aid of a local cause close to her heart.
She has previously taken on similar challenges for other causes, including a skydive for Young Epilepsy in honour of her brother.
