Police, fire and ambulance crews are attending a car crash in Havenstreet this afternoon (Saturday).
The incident has occurred on Combley Road between Briddlesford Road and the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
2 fire appliances from Newport and Ryde are on scene with crews working alongside colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service to assist those within the wreckage of the cars.
The Ambulance Service has an enhanced care paramedic, an operational commander and an ambulance crew on scene.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 13:45.
The road is blocked in both directions with motorists having to divert locally – either via Firestone Copse or The Downs.
UPDATE @ 14:27 – The crash, which has involved a VW Beetle, a Dacia Duster and potentially a 3rd vehicle, has not led to any serious injuries.
1 woman has been assisted from her car and has been checked over by paramedics for a minor injury. Paramedics are now checking the occupants of the other vehicle.
Both vehicles have been moved off the road with emergency services now standing down from the incident.
UPDATE @ 14:53 – The road has now reopened in both directions.

What a surprise…yet another crash on the iow almost everyday now. Why are people in such a rush all the time driving to fast for the small narrow island roads or on phones or even drunk…have some consideration for other drivers please and stop being so selfish….

Just got back home from racing Boyracer along the Milly All you people need to know he can drive really fast but he is still one of the safest drivers on the road I know.Even at a ton plus tonight I never felt we were in any danger.Sleep well and maybe drive a little bit faster tomorrow.
