UPDATE: Emergency services are attending a road traffic collision on Egypt Esplanade in Cowes tonight (Saturday).
Firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are on scene at Egypt Point, at the bottom of Egypt Hill, where it is believed there has been a road traffic collision involving 2 vehicles.
2 Ambulances from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are also on scene, alongside Police officers.
Crews were called to the scene around 20:30.
The road has been closed while crews deal with the incident.
UPDATE 22:55 – A female driver in her 20s has been taken to hospital following a collision with another vehicle.
The road has now reopened to traffic.
