UPDATED: A car has left the carriageway and come to rest in a field off Middle Road near Freshwater tonight (Monday).
Emergency services, including the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, are currently in attendance at the scene near Broad Lane. They were alerted to a car having left the road at around 21:45.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured in the incident, however Middle Road has been closed in both directions.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
UPDATE – Middle Road has now reopened and emergency services have stood down.
1 person has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital with minor injuries.
