Police have executed a drugs warrant on a property in Newport, leading to the seizure of suspected Class A and Class B drugs, cash and mobile phones.
Officers from the High Harms Team descended on an address on School Lane, Barton at 09:00 this morning (Tuesday).
After putting the front door in, a search of the property was conducted.
Throughout the morning officers wearing protective suits were seen going in and out of the address.
It has now been confirmed that although no arrests have been made, a number of items have been seized.
A spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has said:
“A small amount of cannabis, suspected Class A drugs, cash, phones and drugs paraphernalia were seized.
“No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are ongoing”.

The question that needs to be asked is, How much in free handouts were they claiming, no questions ever asked by the DWP? If they commit criminal offenses their money should be stopped.
