Wessex Cancer Support is inviting the public to donate new, unwanted Christmas gifts as part of its Unwanted Gift Amnesty, running from 30th December to 30th January.
The local cancer charity is collecting items to help replenish its stock of raffle prizes ahead of a busy 2026 fundraising events programme.
Donations can be made at Wessex Cancer Support’s Newport support centre, its Freshwater shop, and at donation points in Tesco Extra Ryde, Asda Newport, and Morrisons stores in Lake and Newport.
Sarah Johnstone, Fundraising Assistant at Wessex Cancer Support
“Raffle prizes are always in high demand, and they make a huge difference to our fundraising efforts.
“We’re particularly looking for small items such as chocolates, wine, toiletries, and small homeware items, but we’re happy to consider other suitable donations.”
The donations will help Wessex Cancer Support to fundraise in 2026 and continue to provide support to local people affected by cancer.
