A man and a woman have been arrested following an altercation on the Esplanade in Ryde last night (Monday).
Police were called at 22:12 with reports of an altercation between a man and a woman at Ryde Esplanade, near the bus station.
A member of the public tried to intervene but was threatened by the man. The man and woman then got on a bus together. Police attended and boarded the bus where an officer was assaulted. This did not cause any injuries.
A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and making threats to kill.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of common assault of an emergency worker.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that both remain in custody at this time.

born and bred on the island, their parents may
be overnors though!

Nobody is shipping it here. They were probably born and raised on the island. Believe it or not criminals don’t tend to travel too far from their own homes, that and they probably couldn’t afford the ridiculous ferry prices.
All of this scum should be given a “Lead injection” from a gun.
