UPDATED: School children have been evacuated from Dinosaur Isle in Sandown over fears of a fire at the popular attraction.
3 fire appliances from Ryde and Shanklin, the aerial ladder platform from Ryde and the Incident Conmand Unit from Newport are all on scene at Culver Parade.
Firefighters are investigating the cause of the alarm.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Servuce were called to the indoor attraction around 11:15.
UPDATE @ 11:57 – It has been confirmed to Island Echo that welding taking place on the exterior of the building triggered the alarm system.
Firefighters have examined the area and having reassured themselves there is no fire, have now stood down from the incident.
Dinosaur Isle is open as normal.
