Motorists heading between Newport and Cowes are facing significant delays this morning (Monday) following a road traffic collision.
Emergency services were first called to Cowes Road at around 08:30 following reports of a road traffic collision.
Island Echo understands that the crash has occurred between Stag Lane and County Showground.
Resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Hampshire Isle of Wight Constabulary are present to the scene.
It is believed that the road remains open
Southern Vectis buses are diverting via Forest Road, Whitehouse Road, Rolls Hill and Pallance Lane to return to route.
UPDATE – The incident has now been cleared and the road reopened.
1 person has sustained minor injuries as a result of a collision between a car and motorcycle.
Buses are returning to a normal route.
