Red Funnel is warning of delays and cancellations on its East Cowes-Southampton Route today (Sunday) due to the essential removal of Red Falcon from service.
The cross-Solent operator says that an issue with the tie rod on the forward main engine has resulted in the Red Falcon being pulled up for repairs.
As a result of the immediate action, the following sailings have been cancelled:
From East Cowes: 09:00, 12:00, 15:00
From Southampton: 10:30, 13:30,
It’s unclear at this time if any further cancellations will be announced.
The ferry service is also operating to an alternative berth in Southampton until Thursday as part of improvements works at the main terminal.
