35-year-old Craig Knowles has been jailed for 4 years today (Friday) after being found guilty of robbery.
Knowles, of no fixed abode, targeted the same store 3 times in November and December 2019 and made off with approximately £700 in cash and cigarettes by the end of his spree.
On each occasion, the 35-year-old would enter the Central store before threatening staff, leaving them in fear for their safety as he made his demands.
On the evening of his third robbery, he was arrested by police and charged the next day, following an investigation by Isle of Wight CID.
Knowles appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court on 23rd March where he pleaded guilty to all 3 robberies.
Today (Friday) he was sentenced to 4 years in prison when he appeared before the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
In reality 2 years isn’t enough for this scum, he won’t do anything like four years.

I know some of the people that work in the shop he targeted. He only robbed when he thought the shop was only staffed by women! He got it wrong on one occasion.

so – he will do two years and then be out – he made £700 on those three robberies and is now forfeiting his freedom for 730 days minimum – that means those three robberies are worth just shy of 96p a day – he would have been far better off getting a job or even just sitting around doing eff all and claiming full benefits. If he does the full four years, for being a less than model prisoner, then those three robberies are worth just shy of 48p a day

Pond life, at least he is off the streets for a while and I hope all affected get given the appropriate help they need, speaking from experience.
This man has a family who I know, he has committed a crime, he is now doing the time, actions have consequences, now leave it at that..
