COVID FINES FOR 3 PALS OUT DRIVING TO BUY CANNABIS
Share on FacebookShare on X

3 Islanders have each been handed £200 fines after being caught late night shopping by the Police.

The trio, all from different households but travelling in the same white Fiat Punto Evo, were stopped by officers last night (Friday) and found to be in breach of COVID restrictions.

If breaching the lockdown rules wasn’t bad enough… it was soon discovered that the friends were out to purchase cannabis – a Class B drug. Police have issued a reminder that shopping for cannabis is not a reason to leave your home during a national lockdown.

Article continues below this advertisement

As well as the health regualation breach fines, 1 of the males was dealt with for possession of a controlled drug.

Hampshire Constabulary are reminding Islanders to make sure your travel is essential and lawful.

Shame? This sort would be ‘ashamed’ if they never indulged.

Sadly such a comment shows the naivety of many concerning the underclass now.

This sort would be ‘ashamed’ if they NEVER indulged.

Sadly such a comment shows the naivety of many concerning the underclass now.

Not being insulting, but many don’t know how these people live now.

Often they live in a fully state funded rental property, and have full council tax payed.

They often have several children, often scattered in a couple of house holds, all claiming state aid and housing costs.

They deal to make extra undeclared cash, and many grow earning around 10k+ in an average loft.

They claim for all their children, speed around in fast cars, yet plead poverty that they can’t feed their children.

And the gullible fall for such despite all ready paying or subsidising ‘their’ share of their council tax, rent, free health and dental treatment, costly schooling for their numerous ADHD offspring and the several households containing them and their ‘muvers’.

These gullible then scurrying around providing food parcels for the ‘innocent’ little kiddies, who then grow up to breed from puberty upward, to ruin life for the next generation of decent people

The squeakiest wheel always gets the most oil, and they with equally gullible media/celeb help, certainly know how to squeak.

See these people as they are, they are NOT ashamed that is only for the far more rare cases of genuine hardship cases which there no doubt is here.

You have the situation summed up perfectly in your post, well done. Though some families, given they are the minority, are genuinely struggling and need help from the government. MANY as you state, have numerous children from different fathers and play the ‘povity I have no money’ card too damn quickly knowing full well they will get benefits thrown at them from every angle. This is wrong. They then breed the next generation of spongers and so on. If you want something, you must work for it and don’t break the law getting it. Simple.

The Police are clearly not that bothered about drug crime as they are over Covid breaches . Otherwise they would at least have followed it up as a lead to a drug dealer.
To what address were the going to to buy the cannerbis ?

Agreed ‘Big Boi’ but true about the smell of the stuff, I have no idea why those that smoke it on the streets do not realize this !! One chap was walking towards me, trying to make it like smoking a norm ciggy. but smelt it before he got to me, so I said ‘Home Grown’ He looked puzzled , then looked at the joint, as if how did I know he was smoking a joint… Makes me wonder, do these people think we are all stupid ? Before you hassle me, I was going to pick up medicine for my ill friend, whom is in my bubble.. Unknown where the joint guy was coming or going to/from…

That weed is called ‘SKUNK’ for a good reason…

Yes, send people to jail for consuming a plant that’s far less dangerous than alcohol.

They havnt been sent to jail, they have been fined for breaching covid regulations as they should be.
The plant is illegal. Like it or not, thats the way it is.
As for relative danger compared to alcohol, i suggest you do a google search and find some factual information. The drug is more dangerous to mental health, causes memory loss, and the effects are long lasting, unlike alcohol.

It is definitely not anywhere near like the long lasting toxic effects of alcohol and is much more harmless and has been proven by people, scientists and more everywhere of the health BENEFITS as well as decreasing inflammation on the LUNGS AND CHEST and also helps with COVID. But no that’s exactly why there’s a medicinal cannabis farm on the isle of wight and that’s why there’s so many people who use it medically, and you can get a cannacard in the UK, because no one has ever died because of cannabis but drinking? Throw up and your parylitic and can’t move? Choked and dead. Nah yeah cannabis is lethal man.. I suggest YOU do a Google search and stop with your old fashioned, out-dated, clearly and obviously incorrect news. Sincerely – fattest toker.

Alcohol, being a highly toxic substance that damages every organ in the body, literally causes brain damage and dementia. There is no evidence of permanent adverse cognitive effects of cannabis. Abstinence can reverse motivation issues that can occur with chronic heavy use. Alcohol is overall more damaging to physical and mental health.
‘like it or not, that’s the way it is’. Wow, really logical argument there. In places where it has been legalised, overall drugs related harm has decreased, largely because of drug substitution- i.e. a certain percentage of consumers choosing cannabis instead of the far more dangerous toxin called alcohol.

There is evidence that cannabis is more dangerous. Lots.
Don’t believe everything you read, and make sure you read everything you can. you are clearly massively misinformed.

Blank range rover in Ryde with green led strips, music banging and jumping traffic lights. Zooms up a road, comes back 5 minutes later. Zooms up different road, comes back 5 minutes later. Either buying a lot of weed or more likely selling…..

Like Old Bean said, scum. It can cause paranoid behaviour which then leads to some people breaking the law and then the police get involved. Haven’t they got enough to do trying to contain all the non compliant COVID rule breaking IDIOTS who think it’s ok to be out and about doing what they want???? It’s you that needs to grow up and engage your brain…..

You clearly need to engage your brain. The link between alcohol and law breaking overwhelms every other substance. As evidence from where it has been legalised shows, increased cannabis consumption results in less social harm because a certain percentage of people choose it over the more dangerous drug known as alcohol.

Some essential things are purchased from diy shops you know! What if you have plumbing problems etc. We can’t all afford to get someone in to fix things!

To the best of my knowledge, Garden Centres don’t sell weed…. I was being sarcastic. So how going to garden centre is wrong? So long as everyone is wearing a mask and socially distancing where is the harm???????

The currency of the underclass. Joke is, many are growing in state assisted properties.

Sure are growing, use growing tents, extractor fans and heat lamps. Many go to great lengths to hide such locations some underground in cellars etc, the lower elements use their council house lofts etc often cutting out the wooden support beams to fit the tent into modern, cramped lofts.

The older council properties have chimneys whereby they put in an extractor fan to take the odour out of the chimney to avoid easy public awareness.

Others like teach, use a garage and is easy to suss despite using a tent inside such.

Report them all, for they are getting paid by the state to breed, and be housed, and then earn thousands tax free by growing, and most are vile beings, breeding more vile future beings.

End the cycle of drugs crime, for if YOUR loved one gets involved in a car accident due to a drugged driver you may ‘wish’ you had done so.

Some people would rather have ‘crap’ on the beach in Winter, than have ‘crap’ live next door to them who deal in drugs, and drive whilst consuming some of their wares.

I must ask! whats the point! These guys are minding their own business and not hurting anyone! Cannabis is legal now in loads of countries yet we in UK keep dragging our heals over making it legal! and as for breaking Covid rules! I suggest you pop down the beach and check the hundreds of people breaking the so called Covid Rules then leave the youngsters alone its boring enough for them!
