COURSES AND WORKSHOPS AT QUAY ARTS PROMISE TO MAKE AN INSPIRING START TO 2024

Artist and tutor Caroline Underwood will lead a different creative activity course at the Quay Arts Centre next month. Each session and provide guidance and encouragement as participants refine their skills and explore their creativity, with the first being held on Sunday 11th February, from 10:00 – 12:00. Another first for 2024 is the ‘Sculptural Plasterwork Course’ led by artist India Allin, Founder of island-based decorative arts studio Studio Delma. In this short course which is suitable for beginners you will learn the skills & techniques needed to design, carve, sand, detail & refine a 3D plaster artwork from start to finish. At the end of the course, participants will leave with a beautiful fully finished artwork Also starting are new terms of Quay Arts’ regular weekly Life Drawing classes and Pottery Workshops. These are suitable for both beginners and those with more experience wishing to carry on their practice. The popular ‘Kids Art’ sessions for budding young artists aged 8-12 years begin again on 21st January. More information on all courses can be found on www.quayarts.org.
