A Green Councillor’s derelict property on the outskirts of Brighstone has finally gone on the market for £360,000.
The former Countryman pub, owned by Vix Lowthion, has become somewhat of an eyesore for visitors and residents of Brighstone over the years. But there is good news for those who have campaigned for something to be done… it has now been placed on the open market with Spence Willard.
Back in 2013 planning permission was granted to transform the former pub into a family home, but evidentially that hasn’t happened.
Councillor Vix Lowthion has this week confirmed that she is selling the property, which is now known as Hoarstone House.
Local ward councillor Steve Hastings has taken to Twitter to say:
“I’m pleased to see that this site is now on the market at long last. Let’s hope it sells fast and gets put into use for housing in this prime site”.
