The official Isle of Wight Council website and all phone lines will be unavailable this coming weekend due to essential core network maintenance. The local authority says that across both Saturday and Sunday (16th/17th March), there will be no access to iow.gov.uk or associated council services. This includes all residential services such as waste services, online payments, the revenues and benefits portals, registrar services and planning. Furthermore, the phone system will also be unavailable which includes the contact centre. It’s thought that systems will be down from 08:00 on Saturday until 08:00 on Monday. Island residents are being urged to book tip trips in advance of the weekend as same day bookings will not be available during the downtime. The Isle of Wight Council apologises for any inconvenience this essential maintenance may cause. Emergency calls will be handled as usual throughout the downtime by Wightcare on 01983 821105.

Essential maintenance that’s costing how much £250,000?
I bet they say it’s costing them £50,000 but it’s a better service
So we’ll probably get the same service that we always do. No difference.
Maybe the Council are doing what we pay them to do.
Moving all the vehicles that are parked illegally along Perowne Way
next to NO Waiting cones.
I see there G’estapo Enforcement Officers prowling the
streets everyday slapping tickets on motoristS
Why don’t the good for nothing useless B’stards book the
Vehicles in Perowne Way
Shower of Sh*t
3 Vehicles are still parked on No Waiting cones round Perowne Way
2 cars and 1 camper van
The Council or Law are both doing nothing about it
The Island have no Clamping or Towing Companies so
motorists know the Island is run by a bunch of idiots, hence
still parking illegally.
Too think a migrants son is running London more strictly
than a bunch of Carrot Crunchers on the Isle of Wight.
Mr Khan would have had them Towed away immediately.
Now I know why my annual Council tax went up by £90.00 and my garden waste
collection fee!
As usual we are not told anything just a broad meaningless statement. What is being done and why and at what cost. Why are we loosing the whole system?
