Firefighters have successfully tackled a kitchen fire in Cowes this afternoon (Thursday).
Crews from Newport and Cowes were mobilised to the domestic fire in the High Street at 11:32.
2 breathing apparatus wearers were committed into the flat and used a hose reel jet to bring the situation under control. Positive pressure ventilation has also been used to rid the property of smoke.
It has been confirmed that the fire was located in a cooker.
The stop message was issued at 12:10 and crews are now standing down from the incident.
