The Co-op will once again be offering a supermarket shopping experience at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival, but festival-goers will now be able to place a click-and-collect order up to 6 weeks in advance.
Those attending this June’s 4-day event at Seaclose Park in Newport will be blessed with the ultimate convenient shopping experience. Revellers will be able to buy – or collect – all the usual essential items on-site, rather than having to carry them in. It also offers the opportunity to top up with fresh food and drink throughout the weekend.
Simply head online up to 6 weeks before the festival and collect from the on-site store at the given time, choosing from a whole range of products. Collections will be possible between 09:00-18:00 on the Thursday and Friday of the Isle of Wight Festival.
It was in 2018 that the Co-op built a 6,000sqft store at Download, Latitude, Reading and Leeds festivals. It proved to be hugely popular with festival-goers, so much so that they then set up shop at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2019.
Amanda Jennings, director of marketing live and local at Co-op, has said:
“Since opening our first pop-up festival store in 2018, we’ve evolved our offering each year and this new click-and-collect service is another innovative way to serve the needs of these unique festival communities. The click and collect launch at the festivals is taking Co-op convenience to the next level and will enable festival-goers to plan ahead and enhance their experience even more so.”
The click-and-collect service will also be available at Latitude Festival and Kendal Calling Festival in 2022, but the Co-op will be attending a total of 9 festivals, including Glastonbury,
brilliant, glad to see it again. Going shopping last year with a banging DJ playing was just amazing.
