Get ready, get set and Run Wild at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary’s new 5K fancy dress fun run this July!
Earlybird tickets have last week (Friday 10th April) gone on sale for the new fundraising event on Sunday, 5th July, in celebration of the Sanctuary’s 50th anniversary.
Starting from outside the Sanctuary, ‘Run Wild!’ will take in some of the Island’s best beach views along Sandown seafront before returning past Frosty the white lion’s habitat and crossing the finish line in the Sanctuary’s picnic area, where every participant will receive their own medal to take home.
Star fundraisers who raise £50 before 12:00 on 21st May will also be entitled to a free event t-shirt to wear on the day.
The Sanctuary’s Head of Community, Events and Partnerships, Lorraine White, says:
“We’re hugely excited to be holding our first ever charity fun run here at the Sanctuary this summer, and it’s a great opportunity to have some fun while raising vital funds to support the incredible rescued animals in our care. Animal fancy dress is fully encouraged, and our team are looking forward to spotting some of the wild and wonderful outfits on display!”
Run Wild is kindly sponsored by The Price is Wight.

Great idea, but doesn’t the admission fees also
support the animals.
