A car left the road and came to a stop between a hedge and a house on a quiet residential close in East Cowes late last night (Tuesday).
Emergency services were mobilised to Gustar Close on the Hawthorn Meadows estate at just before 23:28.
Police, fire and ambulance crews arrived to find a vehicle had caused damage to a gas meter in the crash.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service mobilised 2 appliances from East Cowes and Newport, alongside the Response Support Vehicle from Newport.
The car was moved to allow the driver to be released and passed into the care of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.

Presume if driver was taken off by paramedics it was a medical incident, hope all involved are OK.

Perhaps it was an elderly grandmother who had a medical incident ? You never know
