UPDATED: Police and paramedics are attending a road traffic collision on the outskirts of Brading tonight (Tuesday), in which a vehicle has come to rest upside down on its roof.
The incident has occurred on Rowborough Lane between Carpenter’s Road and Brading High Street. Emergency services were called shortly before 21:10.
It is unclear how the vehicle, a Nissan Sunny, has ended up in such a predicament but it appears the vehicle collided with a grass bank.
The driver is not thought to have sustained any serious injuries and is currently being checked over by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Rowborough Road remains open in both directions, however Brading High Street is closed for anti-skid works. Green Lane/West Lane remains open as normal.#
UPDATE – The vehicle has been recovered from the scene by Bartletts Service Station.
A spill kit has been applied to the carriageway.
