A popular cut through for motorists travelling between Ryde and Newport has been closed by Police this morning (Friday) as a result of a 2-car collision.
A Suzuki has come to rest on its side as a result of a crash involving a second car on Blacklands Lane, between Briddlesford Road and Staplers Road.
Police have shut the road in both directions whilst recovery of the 2 vehicles is arranged.
No one has been injured.

A Suzuki on its side? What a surprise..
Why is that a surprise?
Jimny SJ410/413 are renowned for “falling over” Short wheel base higher driving position. Physics 101.
We getting back to normal now !!!
Was it a Jimny by chance? We used to laugh at those for being unstable in the 90s. Assuming its a newer model I see they haven’t got any better
I’ve had a Jimny for 14yrs never had a problem with these try driving one before making stupid comments
Don’t fuel the fire, Bee.. they just trying to bait you..wouldn’t matter what make of car was on its side, they would still have something to say about it.
I had an SJ413 back in the day (Old Jimny) the things are awful.
I have.
Amazing, two vehicles, now that’s different.
I would like to thank the drivers that stopped to help my daughter,
She suffered a nasty gash on her hand and arm trying escape out
of the window of the vehicle, Many, many thanks to those that helped her.
