Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Rowborough Lane on the outskirts of Brading last night (Wednesday) when a car ploughed into the railway bridge.
It is unknown what caused the Rover to collide with the structure as no other vehicles were involved.
1 fire appliance from Sandown was called to the scene at just gone midnight over concerns that the vehicle was on fire. The scene was made safe by firefighters.
1 man was taken to St Mary’s Hospital with minor injuries.
