UPDATED: A car has collided with the rear of a Southern Vectis bus in Newport this afternoon (Tuesday).
The incident, which has involved a red Toyota Aygo, has occurred near the bus turning point outside ASDA supermarket on Pan Lane.
No one is thought to be seriously injured but the incident could cause delays to bus services across the East Wight.
UPDATE @ 18:18 – Simon Moye, Operations Manager for Southern Vectis has confirmed no one on board the bus or in the car sustained any injury in the minor crash.
He has said:
“…We sustained only minor damage to the vehicle.
“We are carrying out an urgent investigation to establish the full circumstances behind the incident”.
