UPDATED: A car has crashed through a metal gate and come to rest on its roof I n a field at Whippingham this morning (Sunday).
Emergency services are currently en-route to the incident, which has occurred near the junction with Folly Lane.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured in the smash but considerable damage has been caused to the front end of a white car.
The main Whippingham to East Cowes road remains open, however some minor delays are to be expected.
