UPDATED: Police and paramedics are attending a road traffic collision involving 2 cars on Whippingham Road near East Cowes this afternoon (Tuesday).
The incident has occurred near the junction with Folly Lane at Whippingham. Emergency crews were called to the scene at around 14:40.
No one is thought to have been seriously injured in the smash, however children are said to be involved.
Motorists can expect delays in the area with temporary traffic lights also in operation nearby.
UPDATE @ 15:45 – The incident has now been cleared.
