Properties in the Gunville area of Carisbrooke are without water supply tonight (Tuesday) due to a burst main in the area.
Southern Water say they have a team on site repairing the burst and that water supply should return to normal within 3 hours.
Some residents may notice some discolouration or low pressure; this is completely normal when there’s been a disruption to the supply and is only temporary.
Southern Water apologises for any inconvenience caused.
UPDATE @ 23:56 – Southern Water has confirmed that the water main has now been repaired and water supplies should return to normal shortly.
A spokesperson for Southern Water has said:
“Your water supply has now been restored and the problem fixed.
“You may notice some discolouration when you first start to run the water; this is completely normal when there’s been a disruption in supply and is only temporary.
