The body of a man who went overboard from a Wightlink ferry last week has been recovered from the sea by Ministry of Defence Police today (Monday).
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that the discovery was made first thing this morning when a MOD Police boat was alerted to the discovery of a man’s body off Haslar Wall.
The man has been identified as a 58-year-old from Southsea.
Next of kin have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
