Firefighters from Newport and Cowes were called to reports of a fire at a property on Carisbrooke Road in Newport during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
2 appliances were mobilised to the residential address at 00:19 following reports of a small fire within a bedroom.
The first crew on scene quickly established the incident was on the first floor of the property, but that the fire had already been extinguished.
An initial inspection of the scene was carried out before the crews stood down and returned to station.
