A blisteringly hot Bank Holiday Weekend with blue skies and plenty of sunshine seems unlikely for the Isle of Wight as the Met Office issue a yellow weather warning for torrential rain and thunderstorms.
Forecasters say that between 06:00 tomorrow and 23:59 on Sunday there is a chance that heavy showers and thunderstorms will affect parts of Southern England.
Although it looks like it will be a wet weekend with torrential rain and hail in places, it will remain very warm and humid.
There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
It’s also said that spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
