The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has descended upon the quiet village of Seaview this afternoon (Monday), where a medical emergency has taken place.
It was at approximately 17:20 that the green and yellow helicopter touched down in the Seaview Football Club playing field.
Advanced critical care paramedics were aided by locals who helped transport them and their equipment to the location on Solent View Road where a person is in life-threatening condition.
Although the condition of the patient is unknown, the air ambulance has since left without conveying the patient.
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service remain on scene; however; have been seen to return the stretcher into the ambulance.

That is true, but better to be safe than sorry,
more qualified paramedics in the air ambulance than
local Island paramedics, much better survival rate
for sure.
They are equally skilled and qualified. We have several advanced practicing paramedics working solo in rapid response vehicles. The skills at St Marys are also exceptional but not a trauma centre so anything cardiac, hepatic, neuro or poly trauma would be transfered.
