The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has touched down in Wootton this afternoon (Wednesday) in response to a medical emergency.
The helicopter and it’s crew have landed in Wootton Recreation Ground, off Footways.
Flying doctors are attending to a poorly patient who has been conveyed from a nearby property to the helicopter landing site.
2 ambulance crews from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are also in attendance.
UPDATE @ 14:55 – A male has been airlifted to Southampton General Hospital for further treatment.
