2 men and a teenager who were arrested in the Aldi carpark in Cowes earlier this week on suspicion of being involved in the supply of drugs have been released from Police custody.
As previously reported by Island Echo, officers moved in on the car in the supermarket car park of Aldi off Three Gates Road.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and officers seized a large quantity of suspected Class B drugs.
A 25-year-old man, a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were all arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
The driver of the car – the 25-year-old – was also arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
The trio were remained in custody over night (Monday into Tuesday), but Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have confirmed today (Thursday) that all 3 men have since been released from.
All 3 remain under investigation.

Why did our government allow this,if beyond all reasonable dought ( they did have in possession) why not keep in custody until Court?. This release on investigation allows them to talk and cover selves and make up a story to blame the other. How many “under investigation” get charged I wonder?
Pity. Keep them in as they are clearly involved in vile drug trade.
A car full of drugs and no charges!…I’m loosing the will to live….
Smoke weed every day man
Why?….I don’t need illegal drugs..
Best bit I smoke all day then I get my police car and work all night
That figures
Kev where is Bev
You and the rest of us. Those who work, pay , taxes and contribute to society are no longer listened to.
The police too must be demoralised.
Time the government started to listen, before the country becomes completely lawless and start toughening up our laws.
The ridiculous rule that the the Police can only hold people for 24 hours in custody before charging them , without special permission. It should be at least 48 hours.
Time to tilt the system in favour of the honest majority, not the criminals.
Also any car with drugs found in it should be impounded at the owners cost whilst investigations are ongoing.
One day the world will wake up to the fact that there hasn’t been a single recorded death from cannabis and yet alcohol is killing millions a year indirectly and directly for years and you accept that but not the other? If if everyone had a joint at the same time there will be world peace for an hour – cheech
but you get everybody drunk for an hour I wander what will happen?
If they all get drunk then they will be unfit to stand, never mind wander
Seriously I do agree that alcohol is far more harmful and would certainly like to see much more control over its sale though I guess it will never be made illegal.
I am not against the legal sale of cannabis but as it stand its sale by dealers is funding criminality and consequently organised crime groups.
It is not true however that there have been no no deaths due to cannabis , google the topic. Many are due to motor accidents.
Everything in moderation would seem sensible , but funding criminality is a NO NO . End of .
What a ridiculous ignorant response, kids are being stabbed every day, the gangs, the robberys, county lines and the dealers at the top are making millions they dont care about yhe dealers they want people to become dependant due to the demand from every individual who takes drugs thi king its ‘oh so harmless’ Wake up.
Nonsense, drug driving is a killer. Road accidents went way up here in Colorado when it was made legal.
Hopefully they’ll turn grass
No properties searched?
Was this a middle aisle special this week?
