3 people have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a crowbar was used to gain entry to a bar in Ryde this morning (Monday).
Police were called shortly after 07:00 to a report of a burglary at the Terrace Bar on Ryde Esplanade – the former premises of The Balcony nightclub above Ryde Superbowl – where some alcohol had been stolen.
A cordon was erected and Police remained at the scene for much of the day before leaving at around 16:30.
A spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has said:
“A crow bar was used to gain entry and some alcohol was stolen. A 25-year-old male from Ryde, 20-year-old female from Newport and 18-year-old female from Newport were arrested on suspicion of burglary.”
UPDATE ON THURSDAY – The 3 arrested have not yet been charged, instead they have been bailed until 24th October.
A pathetic fine at best.
Low life need beating and then jail for three years min.
