bembridgepaintingsstolenPolice on the Isle of Wight are appealing for information following the theft of 9 paintings from a dwelling in Bembridge.

The artwork, worth around £20,000 in total, was taken from the home of a resident in Love Lane, Bembridge on 20th or 21st April.

Three of the paintings are photographed above. The stolen paintings include pieces by Jim Neville and Victoria Aashe, a £4000 piece by Michelle Cadbury in a gilt frame, a poster print of Modighano worth approximately £30 and a Heath Hearn oil abstract worth around £3,500.

A photograph of a fisherman by photographer Piers Bertwhistle worth around £500 was also taken.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward by calling Newport CID on 101. Information can be given anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
