Reports of a possible building fire on a residential road in Lake led to the mobilisation of 2 appliances from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service this lunchtime (Wednesday).
Crews from Ryde and Newport were sent to Manor Road at around midday.
It has been confirmed that the alarm was caused by a controlled burn taking place on the property.
No action was taken by HIWFRS with firefighters returning to station following the stop message at 12:09.
