Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that a 16-year-old boy was involved in the collision.
He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital as a precautionary measure.

I hope the young boy is okay and back home with his loving family.

Are you reading something else as it clearly states boy twice.
Everyone stop being so hasty with the pronouns! It’s a minefield out there! Didn’t you know that everyone is only one false pronoun away from being banished from the internet for eternity? Be strong people because it’s gonna be a bumpy ride!
Hope he wasn’t engrossed in his phone but pleased he’s ok
she* her* she’s* i wasn’t

Pleased to see you have a sense of humour. Glad you’re ok.
You’re fighting a losing battle trying to get any sense or sanity from Island Echo’s comment section lol. I hope you’re okay!
Policemen? In a Police Station? Running? Am I dreaming?
No concern for the child evolved?
What was the child evolved from, or in to?
Do children evolve?
Eventually.
Overtime rate
How did they know?, not from Winchester control room – that would take 45mins. Expect member if public actually in person – running policeman?. Probably more interested in trying to find fault with driver. Hopefully lad is ok and all’s well.
we had someone call the police and head up to the station as it is only a few minutes away from where i was. all police officers ran down as it was pointless taking a car for a 2 minute run down. they are fully aware as to what had happened and there was no fault with the driver. SHE is okay and well.

I hope he’s ok and nothing serious, although the youngsters today walk in the road despite traffic. Cross the road without looking or are looking at their phones. Seen it so many times as a car driver. Doesn’t matter how careful or slow you drive they have no road sense .
Young and Old all seem to walk across roads without looking
Sandown Esplanade is an example of that, especially persons
walking into the Premier Inn.
It’s about time the Government brought back the Green Cross code.
The same can be said for some drivers! I’m amazed some drivers I’ve seen recently have a licence!
Don’t have ANY sense.
for clarification, it was a girl who was hit. if something is going to be posted at least get the facts right. i am the GIRL who was hit.
Hope you are ok.
take it up with the site instead of bleating on the public message board
What happened to the boy?
Is there a police station in ryde? Operational?
