Firefighters have attended a small car fire at Playstreet Lane in Ryde this lunchtime (Wednesday).
1 appliance from Ryde Fire Station was mobilised to the scene near the junction with Pellhurst Road at just before 11:50.
Smoke is understood to have been issuing from the engine area of a silver Renault Modus, thought to be owned by an elderly female.
Firefighters have taken action and the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are now preparing to leave the scene.
