Hovertravel has had to suspend its cross-Solent services for the 5th time in 3 days due to yet more technical issues. An undisclosed problem has led to all services between Ryde and Southsea being cancelled. Only 1 of the Flyer craft is available for operations due to annual maintenance taking place throughout the month of November. On Friday, 2 separate suspensions of service were witnessed with a further 2 suspensions on Saturday. Hovertravel says that an update is due at 14:45. In the meantime, tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service from Ryde Pier Head. UPDATE @ 15:30 – Services have now resumed.
