Year 5 children at The Bay CE School are literally ‘over the Moon’ after their message to the Orion space capsule was played as it orbited the Moon.
Artemis 1 launched in November and released the Orion capsule which orbited the Moon and splash back down to Earth in December. This was while Year 5 were learning about the Solar System as part of their Science topic.
A worldwide opportunity opened up to send messages to be displayed on the Orion control panel as it made its Orbit.
At nearly 235,000 miles from Earth, the school had its message displayed in which they told of how much they have been inspired by the space topic and
