Yarmouth RNLI are assisting a vessel which has gone aground at the narrowest point of the Solent this afternoon (Wednesday).
The All Weather Lifeboat was tasked by Solent Coastguard at around 13:30 when the yacht ‘High Jinks’ reported being in difficulty at Hurst Point.
Volunteer lifeboat crew members are currently assisting the casualty vessel, which left Lymington at around 11:00 this morning.
It appears the yacht has been pulled clear and is underway once again, according to AIS tracking.
UPDATE – The boat has been escorted into Lymington Yacht Haven by Yarmouth RNLI and will be lifted out of the water to be checked for damage.
