The main road through Wroxall will close again tomorrow (Tuesday) after emergency Southern Water works on the main road between Ventnor and Shanklin have been completed.
Carriageway reconstruction works throughout the South Wight village were due to resume today (Monday).
Issues on Shanklin’s Church Road, where a sewer needed unblocking, forced the complete closure of the road and thus the postponement of the Wroxall works.
It has now been confirmed however that the work in Shanklin has been completed, with the road open and Southern Vectis buses returning to their normal route.
The main road through Wroxall will be closed once again from tomorrow morning.
