A 22-year-old woman has been arrested by Police on suspicion of causing grevious bodily harm with intent after a man was stabbed in the chest in Newport last night (Tuesday).
As first reported by Island Echo, Police descended on High Street, Newport last night when a man, who was covered in blood, walked into The Crispin pub in front of shocked customers.
It is believed that the man was assaulted at an address on Caesars Road.
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that a 26-year-old man has been treated for a puncture wound to the chest.
The acccused remains in Police custody this morning.
