A popular Isle of Wight music festival is set to return this spring, with a full day of live entertainment planned at Wolverton Manor.
The Wolverton Folk and Blues Festival, now in its 14th year, will once again bring together a mix of Folk, Blues and Bluegrass music in the scenic grounds of Wolverton Manor.
The family-friendly event has been running since its launch in 2011 and raises funds for Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Care, as well as Brighstone Primary School.
The festival has become a firm fixture on the Isle of Wight’s events calendar, known for its relaxed atmosphere, strong line-up of performers and range of locally produced food and drink.
This year’s special guest artists include award-winning UK bluesman Errol Linton and his band, Bluegrass, Folk group The Thumping Tommys, and USA Delta Blues artist Ray Cashman, who will perform alongside Lucy Piper.
In addition to the Main Stage, the popular Beer Tent Acoustic Stage will return, showcasing a variety of Folk and Blues musicians from across the Isle of Wight.
A wide range of other acts are also confirmed to perform throughout the day, including The Gilkicker Weevils, Second Time Around, Milo, Doug Alldred and The Silver Lining, The Bohemians, Feck!, The King Bees, Brighstone Barnacles, The Purple Emperors, Berlingo Flick, The Hollow Creek Band, F9 Uking The Blues, Our Annie-R and Moonshine Border Morris.
Alongside the music, festivalgoers can enjoy a real ale tent, tea tent, craft stalls and traditional Morris dancing, all set against the backdrop of the West Wight countryside.
Advance tickets priced at £14 are available from Waterstones in Newport, The Village Shop in Brighstone, Briddlesford Lodge Farm Shop in Wootton Bridge, Brighstone School and Orchard Brothers in Freshwater Bay.
