Isle of Wight Search and Rescue – commonly known as WightSAR – are looking to recruit new members from across the Island.

As well as Search Technicians who carry out on the vital ground searches, they are also looking for people to assist with fundraising and operational support.

The voluntary organisation assist Hampshire Constabulary and other agencies in searches for vulnerable missing persons on the Isle of Wight. The team have been involved in a number of high profile cases in recent years and continue to prove themselves as a invaluable asset.

Members of WightSAR will be out in force at St Thomas Square, Newport this Saturday (28th July) from 10:00-14:00. Anyone interested in joining the team is invited to have a chat with existing members to find out more about what they do.
